14th July 1902 elected to adopt No.2 of the courses we indicated above as being open to them to adopt under Section 14 of Ordinance No.18 of 1900.

We forwarded the above Notice to Messieurs Deacon and Hastings, and after further correspondence we on the 21st July 1903 addressed to His Excellency Sir Henry Blake the then Governor of the Colony a letter of which omitting formal parts the following is a copy.

"On behalf of Mr. E. S. Kelly and Mr. Ellis Kelly who are the Purchasers from Mr. Ho Lap Pun and his father the late Mr. Ho Amei under an Agreement of which we enclose a copy, we now formally call upon Your Excellency, as Governor of this Colony and its Dependencies, to grant to our clients a Crown Lease or other documents of title for the land between Ngau Tau Kok and Lyeemoon to which our clients are entitled under and by virtue of the said Agreement when coupled with the Judgment of the Land Court, dated the 7th December 1901, of which we enclose a copy.
